Things to know & do in week 7.

  • Week 7 starts on January 4, 2016.
  • The total workload for this course is 140 hours. In week 7, we expect you to spend 4 hours on lectures, 4 hours in the lab and 7 hours on a mix of things (quiz, required readings, peer reviews, additional lab work, etc.).
  • Get started on this week's **quiz and the second peer-review assignment**(P2) of the course.
  • Groups in cluster C1 are assessed this week on Assignments A4 & A5. Make sure you reserve yourself an assessment spot and don't forget to upload your solution via the "Lab Submissions" link here on Blackboard.

Peer-review assignment P2

This assignment is a bonus assignment, worth +0.25 bonus grade points if done well.

The assignment consists of two steps, and it will last 3 weeks (first step deadline in Week 8, second step deadline in Week 9):

  • Group work: create an ER conceptual model, and upload it to the dedicated Blackboard Forum (Discussions DATABASE DESIGNS). For everyone (independent of the cluster you are in) the deadline for the submission of the database design review is January 17, 11.59pm. Use your group name as thread title. Later submission will not be considered for grading.
  • Individual work: it starts on January 18. You will be required to conduct three reviews of database designs from your fellow students. Do not review designs that have been submitted after January 17, 11.59pm. For everyone (independent of the cluster you are in) the deadline for the peer review isJanuary 22, 11.59pm. Later reviews will not be considered for grading.
